Biography

Peifeng Li obtained his doctoral degree at the Chinese Academy of Medical Science. He worked as a medical researcher at the Max-Delbruck-Center for Molecular Medicine, Germany. He is currently a research assistant professor at the college of medicine, university of Illinois at Chicago, USA. His research focuses on the molecular regulation of heart failure. He is one of the pioneer researchers in deciphering the role of microRNAs in heart diseases including cardiac hypertrophy, myocardial infarction and heart failure. He has published more than 62 papers in reputed journals and also presented his work at many national and international professional meetings. He has served on the American Heart Association grant panel. He is currently a member of the editorial boards of Dataset Papers in Biology and Journal of Geriatric Cardiology as well as a reviewer for more than 30 scientific journals.
